Homemade Sloppy Joe's

I call it a Sloppy Joe but this is good on a lot of things. We like it in stuffed peppers and spread it on rice and on bread. It is a nice meal on a cold day! I like to pair it with my sweet slaw. 

It doesn't take much to make this little meal. I use ground chicken but you can use hamburger or any other ground meat you prefer.

Chop up the veggies and toss them in a pan to saute. Fry until tender but not fully cooked.   

Add meat and cook thoroughly.  

Add all the canned foods and simmer for a few minutes to get the flavors blend. 

All done! 


Sloppy Joe's

1 celery stick

1 clove of garlic

1 small onion

1 can of chili ready tomatoes

1 can of mild diced tomatoes and chilies

Direction:

  1. Chop up veggies. 
  2. Saute the veggies until tender.
  3. Add meat and cook thoroughly. 
  4. Add canned items. 
  5. Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors. 
  6. Enjoy!
